ocean3.jpg (4306 bytes)  The site is evolving into a kind of collaborative knowledge base.

With a modular exposition structure in place, the natural next step is to employ it for greater multi-person use, letting people's ideas interact with one another in a way that's goes beyond what's possible in other formats available today.

New material that can be used in this manner is now being accepted and published.

In the not-too-distant future, software will enable people to easily format and link their own material to the rest of the material on the site, independent of any centralized editor or "gatekeeper."    The software will also provide a way for other people to categorize and present material on the site in pretty much any way they believe may appeal to a given audience's tastes.  (We might call people who do this "information impresarios.")

Once the independent formatting, linking, and categorizing features are in place, the site will be able to evolve into  a kind of collaborative base of insight and knowledge.

It will  present itself in an almost infinite number of different ways, to meet varying interests and tastes--making it a form of electronic publishing that gives people a number of significant reasons to choose to read a screen.
