More and more people are simply tuning out of American politics.

What's driving them away?  And perhaps more important, what can be done to begin drawing them back?

Today's Democrats and Republicans have performed a kind of identity swap.

Both of our traditional parties have lost some of the best parts of themselves.

Both parties have been hijacked by their extremes.
